We all understand what a consequence is – it's the result we face when we do something wrong, like getting a time-out for disobeying our parents. The Bible tells us that sin, which is disobeying God, also has a consequence: being separated from God forever. Because we have all sinned, we all deserve this punishment. As Romans 6:23a tells us, “When you sin, the pay you get is death.”
