WHAT IS “BUILDING FOR THE FUTURE” ABOUT?
Seventy years ago Light & Life was planted by a church in downtown Long Beach. What began as a home Bible study later moved onto the plot of land where our church exists today. The church met in a school bus until they built a sanctuary. Despite its rapid growth in the 90’s with very limited facilities and parking, our church has become one of the most influential in United States through its resilient commitment to church planting.
As Light & Life continues to grow we are boldly trusting in God to help us build and expand the space He has given us. Building for the Future is a two-year initiative inviting you to prayerfully and generously invest in our church’s future as we continue to reach, teach, mend, and send.

EXPAND OUR REACH
Our church is reaching and teaching more people than ever with over 1,300 weekly people on campus. Our nursery, children and youth ministries are at capacity and need a dedicated space to grow in their faith. Imagine the generations we could win as we expand our reach.

Grow Our Sending
Our church is mending broken lives through spiritual and physical services, like feeding more than 1,000 people weekly and revitalizing and planting churches and leaders.
God has used and grown Light & Life for the last 70 years to flow healing into our community and beyond. Imagine the mending and sending God could do in the coming decades.
